IN A BROKEN MIRROR
Height: 5’6’’
Body type: She’s an average height, but is perhaps a little underweight for her age. But she’s not unhealthy, as her build tends to run in the family.
Skin tone: Originally rather fair and pale, but her road trip across America has left her with a golden tan.
Eye color: Blue
Hair color and typical style: Long blonde hair stopping at the middle of her back. She usually doesn’t have time to do much with it, both now and before, so it’s usually just brushed and left to lie down her back.
Played By: Amber Heard
Special Markings: Katrina has a lot of scars, mostly picked up in the months since the Apocalypse started. They’re mostly small scratches on her arms and legs, some old and some new, but her main scar is one running down her leg from where she caught herself on a loose piece of metal while running from walkers. While it’s healed mostly, it’s still pretty fresh and gives her pain once in a while.
My Style: Right now, Katrina wears whatever she can get her hands on. She tends to raid shops in the towns she passes but she always picks things that are practical and not restrictive. She’ll usually be seen wearing jeans and her knee high boots, with a light top. She has a wide range of things she’s taken from shops but her boots and her dad’s leather jacket are two things she holds very close to her heart. She wouldn’t be seen without them.

Dislikes:

Not getting her way

Being alone (though she would never admit it)
What was/is your characters dream/goals: Back before all of this, Katrina just wanted to make her family proud of her. She wanted to live in New York, travel the world, that kind of thing. But now, all she wants is to find her family, or if she can’t do that, find someone to spend the rest of her life with. Because as much as she implies it, she doesn’t want to be alone for the rest of her life.
Fears:
Snakes
Being on her own for the rest of her life
Not being able to find her family again
Its Who I Am
Describe your character’s personality: Katrina is a bit of a firecracker most of the time. She has a very short temper and can snap at the littlest things. She’ll always talk back to people, especially if she doesn’t like them. She was classed as a bit of a rebel back home. But right now, it’s proving to be something of an advantage to her. She’s one of those people to strike first and ask questions later. Ever since the accident with her parents, Katrina’s had some serious trust issues. Her father hid his bite from her and she seems to think the worst of people now. She won’t relax around people until they have proved to her that they’re not bitten, or are not out to get her.
If she actually comes to trust a person though, she can be a different person entirely. She tends to be a lot softer around the people she likes and trusts, though she doesn’t make it easy for people to be close to her in the first place. Katrina’s a bit of a tomboy at heart and tends to be pretty feisty. She can definitely hold her own in a fight and won’t be one to back down. Despite the fact that she makes out that she doesn’t need anyone, Katrina is actually a very lonely person. She has spent so long on her own, with no one to talk to, she has kind of got used to it. She has developed a tendency to talk to herself simply because it gives her the idea of company. She has become so used to not trusting people but really, she actually wants to trust them. She just usually has such a short temper that no one sticks around long enough to befriend her.
Strengths ::
Resourceful
Observant
Logical
Optimistic
Determined
Weaknesses ::
Impulsive
Blunt
Short Tempered
Trust Issues
Changeable
Habits:
Talks to herself a lot
Tends to drink when she’s angry with something
Flaws::
Physical - While the scar on her right leg has mostly healed, if she walks on it for too long, it can begin to ache and if it’s bad, it can lead to her walking with a bit of a limp until she’s rested it.
Personality - She has serious trust issues and she always seems to think that someone is hiding something from her. She will keep being cautious of a person until they have proved that they are trustworthy.

Its A Gift
Skills and Abilities:
Despite her leg injury, Katrina is still a very good runner. She is better at sprints, which can be useful at getting her away from a large group of walkers if she comes across them. She stuggles with long distances but over short, she was one of the best in her state when she was younger.
Even though she would never go out of her way to admit it, Katrina is a very good cook, thanks to her mother teaching the three girls how when they were younger. She’s used to cooking for her extended family and she’s happy to cook for whoever wants her to.
Thanks to a very trigger happy father, Katrina received gun training from him when she was a child. He always thought his daughters should be prepared for anything, so he took them training once they had turned 20. Only the youngest daughter Abigail is unable to wield a gun. Katrina isn’t the best shot, and has a tendency to be a little trigger happy, like her father. So she can go through bullets fast, which of course, is a bad thing. But she can shoot well enough to help her survive.
We Ain't In Kansas Anymore...
Katrina Dawson is the middle daughter born to Mary and Elliott Dawson in South Carolina. The family lived on a small farm on the outskirts of Greenville. Karina was raised, like her sisters, to be respectful and polite and all three girls helped around the farm from time to time when they were growing up. The three sisters were home schooled until the age of 14, when they went to high school in Greenville. They were all raised exactly the same and it wasn’t until they went to high school that they finally managed to become their own person. Susanna was always the prodigal daughter and as the middle child, Katrina felt the need to rebel to get her family’s attention. It was never anything serious, but Katrina did seem to attract trouble even if she didn’t want too.
Family life was relatively normal. At least as normal as one would expect with three teenaged girls growing up in the same house. The sisters had their fights as all siblings do, but they were still a lot closer than they appeared on the outside. Of course, when Katrina turned 16, she seemed to take a turn and became more rebellious than before. She became friends with a group of boys in her school that persuaded her to get involved with them. Of course, as a 16 year old girl, Katrina was always seeking approval from her peers and began to get into a lot of trouble, even so much as to get arrested once.
Katrina seemed to calm down once Susanna married her high school sweetheart and moved out of the family home at the age of 22. She tried harder at school and managed to graduate, despite her family’s worries that she wouldn’t. After high school, Katrina went on to get a job in a local convenience store in town. Over the following years, she worked her way up and became an assistant manager by the time she was 21. She became a lot more focused on her life and what she wanted to do. And she became more focused with making her family proud and making up for all that she had done over the years.
The time between these events and the events of the zombie apocalypse are relatively boring. Her life was normal for these few years and before all hell broke loose, Katrina was saving up to move away from the family and move to New York. As it happened, news came of impending panic and it wasn’t long before Greenville was over-run. Living in the little farm, the family were safe for a while, but it wasn’t long before a few stragglers reached the farm. Katrina’s father managed to kill the zombies but he didn’t escape unharmed. He was bitten in the attack and not wanting to worry his family, hid the bite from them.
But like everyone who was bitten, Elliott Dawson turned into a walker. He turned during the night and his wife, Mary had no way of escaping before she too was bitten. Katrina managed to wake her sister and run from the farm, taking her father’s Camaro on the way. From there, they went to the house where Susanna and her husband lived, and the group traveled west to the only family they had left, their grandparents in San Diego.
But they weren’t prepared at all, and their little group was overrun during the night and Katrina was separated from her sisters and brother in law. She managed to get to her car and drive away, but she doesn’t know what happened to her family. But she still travels west as they had agreed before that San Diego would be the meet-up point if they got separated. She has been traveling since the outbreak started, stopping every now and then for supplies, but her main goal is San Diego, and so far, nothing has stopped her from getting there.
Bad Horror Movies Are The WORST
Well, she should have expected a reaction from him really, though she didn't expect one quite like that. Though he was a wolf and she supposed that size and dominance were really his thing. For a moment, she had wondered if he would have tried it on her, if not for Kane reaching out to stop him. Poor little wolf was fuming and she couldn't help but wonder where her new found boldness had come from. But she quickly shook those thoughts off and turned her attention back to the wolves in the room. She really shouldn't be being so bold with them. She was a tiny fox and there was no way she would be able to stand up to two wolves. But maybe that's why she was doing it. Because she was a fox. And she was sly, and cunning, and she thought she could get away with anything.
She'd expected a reaction and she'd got one. But she didn't even flinch as Fang leaned over towards her. He wasn't going to try anything...yet, it seemed. Oh, so he wanted to play then, did he? Well, if the wolf wanted to play chase then she would oblige completely. He wasn't going to catch her. But she was good at playing. She'd done it so many times in the past before she met her husband. And really, it wasn't that hard anymore to bring the fox out to play. So the game was on then, and they would see who would win. It wasn't really the trip to New Orleans that she had been expecting but really, it was never going to be normal.
"Alright Wolfie....we'll see about that..." Her eyes followed Fang across the room before Kane drew her attention. Oh...was that embarrassment in his voice? Had she embarrassed him with the 'more impressive' comment? She'd never thought that she could draw a reaction like that out of stoic old Kane. But here he was, trying to find his voice. Of course, she'd never said it to embarrass him. She'd only said it to get on Fang's nerves. And she had done that. But now she'd succeeded in getting both of their attentions. Of course, there was an issue with his little question. Did she want to go out and get a drink with them? She could only imagine just how Fang would play if she agreed. But she had an idea. She felt a little sorry for Kane, seeing as she was going to use him as a prop in her's and Fang's game. But really, who had started this? Not her.
"Sure, and because I'm your guest, you can buy me a drink," She didn't really direct it at either of them in particular, so she left it open to interpretation. Instead, she turned to her bag to dig out her wedges. She'd come in flats and she supposed that if they were taking her out then she probably should make an effort. She debated for a moment if she should change her skinny jeans to a dress. But then she realized that that would probably give Fang even more motivation. So she decided against that. Jeans and heels it was then. She switched her shoes over before resting her feet on the bed, looking up at both of them with a smile.
